If you would like an out-of-court divorce, but mediation is not ideal because you prefer to work through an attorney, and the collaborative process is not feasible because your partner’s attorney is not collaboratively trained (or does not want to sign a participation agreement), I can work with you towards reaching a negotiated settlement. Slightly different than the more formal collaborative model where the parties and attorneys meet in session, as your legal representative, negotiations primarily would take place between the attorneys.
Like in a collaborative relationship, we would analyze your specific situation, discuss the relevant law, and generate options.
Once an agreement has been reached, your partner’s attorney and I would draft a legal contract reflecting your agreement and file any necessary papers with the court.
If you would like to consider a collaborative divorce, I would be happy to help. Please set up an initial consultation by contacting me HERE or calling (917) 319-7969.
